Im 13 female overweight can i go horse riding?

right i am 13 i am female and i am overweight, my sister did a bit of horse riding before we moved home. two of my firneds horse ride and i love horses and am not afraid to get close to them but now i wanna go and learn how to ride then will it be ko for my to do so?
