Scheduling is a very important component of the medical office. One of the problems that a practice faces is those patients who do not show up for their appointments. There are a few ways to address this. Some offices will over book appointments knowing that on any given day some patients will not show up. This is similar to the airlines overbooking flights. Other offices charge patients who do not show for appointments. What are the benefits of each method? Drawbacks?
