Sick kid, wanting to hang on me. how can i discourage her from doing this?

my eight year old kid is sick. puking, achy, diarrhea, fever...the flu or some other bug. she hanging on me, whining and complaining. i told her to take some motrin and some ginger ale and go lie down. i have a date tomorrow and i'm afraid she will get me sick. i need to be arms length from her. how can i make her stop? also, is there anything i can take to make sure she doesn't get me sick? thanks all!
