I went to my girlfriend's house (she was still just my crush then; not yet a girlfriend) one evening, put a block of ice and hammer on her doorstep, rang the doorbell, and hid behind the bushes. She opens the door, sees the block of ice and hammer, and cracks it. Inside was a pot of flowers. Then I step out from behind the bushes and say, "Since...we've broken the ice, would you like to go out with me?"
