Should I approach my sitter to revamp her letter to the courts? ?
You should definitely ask her to rewrite the letter. Ask her to be more specific use the "Write what your professional opinion of the situation and how it effects all areas of the children's development" She'll like that you refer to her "professional opinion". I own a child care and I have a 4 year old little girl who has the same family situation- one night at mom's one night at dad's. Mom brings her in well fed and rested and ready for the day. Dad brings her in late, we have to break our routine to give her some breakfast, she won't nap at nap time because she wakes up too late and by 3pm, this sweet, very intelligent little girl turns into a scary beast. One thing that may be influencing your sitter's letter is who pays the child care bill. In my situation, one week mom, one week dad-needless to say, the account stays past due with all the arguing as to who's turn it is. They are both good parents and love herr, but the arrangement is definitely detrimental.
