I accidently took the plastic wrap off my frozen turkey ... what is the safest way to defrost now ?

So this is my first time cooking a turkey and i took the wrapper off before it was defrosted . How can I still defrost over the next few days without ruining the turkey ? Should I go buy a freezer bag and continue on with the refrigerator defrost instructions ? HELP !
